Professional Code of Conduct

Professional Code of Conduct:

As registered BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board, we are subject to the Tax Practitioners Board Code of Professional Conduct.

The Code regulates our personal and professional conduct. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of professional conduct in our dealings with you.

The Code sets out principles under five separate categories:

• Honesty and integrity

• Independence

• Confidentiality

• Competence

• Other responsibilities

Failure to comply with our obligations under the Code, may result in sanctions imposed on us by the Tax Practitioners Board..

Recommendations for complying with the Code

To assist us to comply with certain aspects of the Code we have been provided with guidance material on matters such as:

• Passing on refunds

• Letters of engagement

• Holding money or other property on trust

• Reasonable care

• Managing conflicts of interest

• Confidentiality of client information
